Field Updates for Strawberry Picking
Rain is a good thing!
Aug 4, 2024 Update
The heatwave we had has been hard on our strawberries. When the temperature stays too high the strawberries stop producing flowers and berries and go into survivial mode. We are very happy to see rain in the forecast this week and hope this means more strawberries coming soon!
Waiting For Our Next Wave of Strawberries
Aug 1, 2024 Update
Thank you for everyones interest in coming to pick strawberries so far this year! We have lots of flowers and green strawberries so we are hoping for a great August and September for picking!
We will be offering upcoming appointments to those who are already on the waiting list on a first come first serve basis. Look out for an email from us over the next couple of weeks letting you know that we have opened up appointments.

We have started opening picking appointments for the 2024 season!
There are limited appointment times this early in the season so we appreciate everyone’s patience when trying to get a spot.

The 2024 strawberry picking season will be starting very soon. Check back on July 1 for availability of our first appointments this year.

August 2, 2023 Update

Waiting For Our Next Wave of Strawberries
July 8, 2023 Update
We were lucky to have strawberries almost a month early this year!
However, this means our plants are now in between waves and we have less strawberries available at the moment while the plants work to grow more.
We are still opening appointments but there are very few spots available while we are between waves. Our peak picking season is August - October. Our plants will produce strawberries until first frost so please continue to check back later in the season!

June 11, 2023 Update
This is the earliest we have EVER been able to open up picking appointments. This is exciting for us and thrilled we can have you out sooner to get strawberries.

Sept 11, 2022 Update
We have made it through our waiting list and have opened up appointments to anyone who would like to book a spot to come and pick strawberries.
The best time to check for appointments are Tuesday, Friday and Sunday Evenings!
However, last minute appointments also open up the night before if people cancel or if we have more strawberries than we expected!
Peak Picking Season is Here!
Aug 29, 2022 Update
The strawberry plants are in full production! The end of August and into September is when the plants produce the most amount of strawberries.
We have almost made it through the waiting list and are hoping to open up appointments to everyone again after September long weekend.
Our plants produce strawberries until frost. So there are still lots of opportunity to come out and pick this year!

July 31, 2022 Update
Thank you to everyone who has added themselves to the waiting list so far this year! We have had a huge interest in coming to pick and are working hard on our end to grow strawberries as fast as we can!
Due to this tremendous demand, we have closed our waiting list for the time being to offer appointments to those who have already signed up.
We always work through our waiting list on a first come first serve basis. Please be patient if you have not yet been contacted. We only book appointments as strawberries become available. We want you to have the best possible experience when you come out to pick!
We will open our waiting list again as our supply of berries allows. Check our website for updates.

Starting to see the first berries!
June 27, 2022 Update
This weekend we had a few of the very first red strawberries start to show up at our field! We don’t have enough quite yet to start opening up appointments. However, this is a great sign that the picking season will begin soon!
This means we will start opening up appointments so that you can schedule yourself. We will also open up the waiting list at this time. We recommend you join the waiting list if there are no availalbe appointments as we reach out to those on the waitiing list first when new appointments are opening up.

June 16, 2022 Update
We have finished planting all 15,000 of our new strawberry plants! These plants need some time to grow and develop. We hope to have our first strawberry's in July!
We will update this page as well as our instagram when we start having strawberry’s!
We are by APPOINTMENT ONLY to ensure that everyone has berries to pick. We sadly cannot accomodate drop in pickers without an appointment. Thank in advance for understanding.
Closed for 2021 Season
Sept 6, 2021 Update
It is with great saddness that we announce the end of the 2021 picking season. We had weather challenges we have never faced before which meant we did not have strawberries for people to come and pick. Even with irrigation and all the work we put in, the extreme heat and drought like conditions resulted in very low berry production.
Those who were on our waiting list and indicated they wanted their names to be carried over to next summer will be the first individuals we reach out to when we have picking appointments in 2022. No Picking Appointments for the Foreseeable Future
Aug 9, 2021 Update
We were hoping for a more positive update, but sadly we have to share more of the same news. Our plants are starting to flower, but the amount of flowers we have is minimal compared to any previous seasons.
We apologize for the lack of availability in picking appointments this season. To say we are disappointed is an understatement. We are doing our best but as much as we work and plan we cannot control the weather and this may end up being one of those years we sadly do not have the picking season we hope for.
Still Waiting on Flowers
July 23, 2021 Update
We had much better growing conditions this week! Cooler weather and some rain. However, we still don’t have many flowers which means we are still at least 2 or maybe 3 weeks away from having enough strawberries to make picking appointments. We appreciate that some people want to pick sooner than this! There are some other great strawberry upicks in our province and may be open for picking sooner than us. Due To Hot/Dry Weather We Are Not Currently Booking Appointments
July 18, 2021 Update
Due to the unusually hot/dry weather the strawberries are currently not making new flowers and therefore there are no strawberries to pick at the moment.
Once it gets warmer than 27C the plants stop producing flowers and instead just produce runners and leaves. We are hoping with some cooler days and rain in the forecast the plants will start to flower and we can begin making appointments again.
Our best guess is the soonest we will have berries again will be in August. We are sad and frustrated by this, but are doing our best to save the season and can hopefully have you out to pick later this summer! Thank you for your patience.

There are very limited appointments times this early in the season so we appreciate everyone’s patience as we try to ensure that everyone who wants to come and pick strawberries gets an opportunity. The first strawberries are also our smallest of the season. Our plants produce more and bigger berries with each wave of production. If size is important to you we recommend you wait to book an appointment till later in the season (August or even September).

After a very hot week for the plants last week we are finally getting our first strawberries! These first strawberries are our smallest of the season and with very little water and extreme heat, this year is no exception. Our plants produce more and bigger berries with each wave of production. We will be notifying those who put themselves on the waiting list first to offer them appointments. We appreciate your patience as we try to ensure that everyone who wants to come and pick strawberries will get a chance to come out.
